About
Chico and Pippa, my joy
Last Thursday our lives changed for the better. My husband and I were trusted by British Chihuahua Rescue to adopt little Chico and Pippa.
Little Chico is 15, blind and deaf and needs constant reassurance through touch, but I have been amazed and in awe of how he has been adapting to a new home and new people. He has also been getting used to his 'halo' which is designed to stop him bumping into things and hurting himself. He has been a bit of a challenge, like having a new baby in the house! But I am learning everyday to understand his needs and how to keep him calm.
Little Pippa made herself right at home from day one and has become my shadow. She quickly identified the key vantage points to guard her new garden from and she loves going for walks which makes me get more exercise too! It is wonderful to be constantly greeted with a waggy tail and so much Chihuahua enthusiasm for life!
Thank you so much British Chihuahua Rescue.
