We are truly touched and delighted by the wonderful generosity of Mrs Iris Spencer, who kindly remembered the British Chihuahua Rescue in her will. A dedicated teacher and lifelong Chihuahua lover, Iris shared her life with many little companions over the years - her beloved Poppy, a rescue from Bridgend, was the light of her life. It always stayed with Iris that no one from the rescue was able to check on Poppy after her adoption, and she understood that this was simply due to a lack of resources. Her thoughtful gift will now help ensure that other rescued Chihuahuas, like Poppy, receive the ongoing care and follow-up they deserve. Thanks to Iris’s kindness - and the support of her friends - more Chihuahuas will find the safety, care, and happiness they need. Her legacy will continue to bring wagging tails, warm cuddles, and happy new beginnings for years to come.
