Hi, I’m Doofas.
I’m a nearly four year old boy with a very gentle nature and the sweetest heart.
I’m a sensitive soul and, if I’m honest, I can be nervous about lots of things. I do best in a calm, reassuring home where kind words and gentle encouragement help me feel safe. With that support, I’m already making progress, and my confidence grows as trust builds. It’s important that my future humans understand this and are happy to go at my pace.
Once I feel secure, I’m incredibly loving and loyal, the kind of dog who quietly pads over, hops onto your lap, and melts into you. Having a lap to sit on really helps me feel settled and safe.
I enjoy my walks and, once I’m ready to go, I’m lovely company, taking the world in at my own pace. I can be a little unsure about having my harness put on, but again, with patience and reassurance, I come around very quickly.
My favourite place in the whole world is my cosy bed, curled up under a warm blanket. That’s where I feel most relaxed and content.
I’ve lived happily with a cat before and was absolutely fine, so I could live with a calm feline friend again.
I’m a gentle, affectionate boy who just wants someone who truly sees me, gives me time, and allows me to come out of my shell in my own way. With that approach, I really do shine as the best boy.
