Hey, I'm Dougie.
Nice to meet you.
I am neutered and I walk on a lead.
Some people know me as Dougie C. The C stands for chicken. Not that I am a chicken or chicken in the sense of being cowardly. I mean I am a bit timid until I get to know you and then we're all good, but chicken has got to be one of the most divinely edible creatures, has it not. And I'm widely known for my love of it.
So here's my wish list.
A human bestie, who will feed me chicken and take me for quiet walks in the park or the countryside.
A large chair that will fit both me and and my bestie at the same time, so we can cuddle.
A bed to share with my bestie so I can provide them with the warmth and love they deserve and where we can have regular lay ins together.
A garden I can enjoy with secure fencing. Sometimes I find myself jumping out to go exploring and that seems to give everyone a fright.
I travel well in the car and I will tolerate other dogs. No one is quite sure how I will respond to cats though because I haven't seen any since I've been at foster mums.
I can be playful, but I haven't really found a toy I like yet.
Oh, and did I mention chicken? That is my number one food and treat. If you wave the clucky stuff at me I will be very good and sit and take your offerings gently.
I've had my vet check. I behaved myself and apparently I'm tip top. The vet has said I have a mildly luxating patella but its not causing me pain or problems, so they weren't concerned.
So I'm looking for my forever person. Could that be you?
