About
Hi, I'm Penny.
I am pleased to be in foster but I'm feeling a bit worried and easily overwhelmed. My foster mum is helping me to learn to manage my big feelings.
I love going outside for walks and I go to obedience class where I try very hard to please.
I have learnt to share my toys with my foster friends and I'm learning that I don't need to be so possessive of foster mum. I do worry that she might love one of the others better than me, but they say I don't need to guard her. If she's going to go off with them, it will happen anyway. I'm learning you just have to trust.
Having said that, I need to earn trust too and foster mum says I shouldn't be left with small children. I'm also not that keen on one of my foster siblings. I mean I don't mind the old one, but the younger one is a bit much. I do like it when we all go out for a walk together. That's fun. Anyway, foster mum says, I would probably benefit from being in a home on my own or maybe with an experienced owner who could continue my training.
I was a good girl at the vets, no growling, no snapping. Everyone was totally impressed. I am a little sweetheart once I get to know you. You shouldn't go around trusting everyone. You read too many stories about Chihuahuas getting snatched. That's not going to happen to me so I can be reactive to strangers.
I sleep in my own bed at night, travel well and I don't mind being left at home or in my soft craft. I love cuddles and I'll go to the door if I need the toilet.
My training will continue with foster mum whilst my vaccinations are updated and I am spayed. And then I'm all yours. I can't wait.
Lots of Love
Penny
