About

Hello, I’m Tallulah.

I’m 12 years young and have been described as sunshine in Chihuahua form. I’m a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being with my person, having cuddles on the sofa and snoozing my head off while you watch TV. If you stop stroking me before I think you should, I may give you a little nudge to remind you.

I might be a senior lady, but I still enjoy getting out and about. I love exploring on my harness and am happiest with regular short walks of around 20–30 minutes. After that, I’m quite content to let you do the walking while I travel in my sling. I’ve even been out on a bike — protective goggles and all!

At home, I’m fully house-trained and can be left for short periods, when I’ll usually have a good snooze. I enjoy playing with my rabbit toy and chasing a ball, and I’ve developed a keen interest in whatever my humans happen to be having for dinner. Sometimes I like a little quiet time to myself and will take myself off to my crate or find a cosy spot under the sofa or bed.

When I first arrived in foster I was a little shy and could be reactive to strangers. I’ve relaxed enormously, although I can still be startled if someone suddenly appears while we’re out and I may bark and chase. This has improved with time, and I’ll need someone who can continue to help me with my confidence.

I’m curious and happy around dogs I meet out and about and may be able to live with another dog. I’ve seen cats without reacting to them, but I haven’t been properly cat tested, so for now cats are an unknown.

I’m looking for an adult-only home with one or two people who have Chihuahua experience, where someone will be around most of the time. Because I sometimes need a lift when my little legs have done enough walking, you’ll also need to be able to pick me up safely and carry me in my sling. I’ll need two meet-and-greets in E1.

Most of all, I’d love to be someone’s best friend. If you have room on your sofa for a little snoozy companion with a waggy tail, a beautiful smile and plenty of love to give, perhaps I could be yours and you could be mine.
