About

Hello, we're Luna and Rocco

We're a bonded pair of 11 year old Chihuahuas looking for a loving home where we can enjoy our golden years together.

We're both big fans of the important things in life – cuddles, comfy beds, sunny spots, good food and being close to our favourite people – but don't mistake us for a pair of sleepy oldies. We love our walks too and happily enjoy around 50 minutes along the beach with our foster siblings.

I'm Luna, the fawn girl, and Foster Mum says I'm the more confident of the two. I'm very affectionate and particularly fond of a lap, where I like to curl myself into what has become known as my famous 'pretzel position'. I'm also an excellent Chief Sofa Tester and take my responsibilities very seriously.

Rocco is my handsome chocolate and tan companion. He's a gentle, affectionate little chap who loves being close to his people. When Foster Mum is working, he likes to supervise, and in the evening you'll often find him sitting behind her on the sofa, practically on her shoulder.

Rocco can find unfamiliar people and dogs worrying when he's out and may bark at them. His foster family are helping him learn that he doesn't need to be scared, and he's making good progress. When he's feeling confident, he loves his walks and will frolic along on his lead like a little lamb.

We both have some health needs, but they're part of our routine and don't stop us enjoying life.

Rocco has a heart murmur and takes medication twice a day. He's very good about taking his tablets.

I have pancreatitis, which is well managed with a low-fat diet and smaller, regular meals. I'm doing really well on my current routine.

We live happily alongside our foster doggy brother and sister and spend much of the working day doing the exhausting business of absolutely nothing. Rocco seeks out sunny spots while I find the comfiest bed or sofa available.

We do, however, take mealtimes extremely seriously. Rocco appears to have developed the ability to tell the time and will make sure Foster Mum knows if breakfast, lunch or dinner is running behind schedule.

In the evening, we love settling down with our people for cuddles and television. And there's one thing I should probably confess: At 11 years old I've largely left drama behind me, but I do still enjoy having a good old bark at Pete Wicks whenever he appears on the television. Whether it's admiration or outrage, I'm not telling. A girl's allowed one celebrity crush.

We're looking for a home together where we'll be loved as much as we love our people. If you're looking for two affectionate little companions who enjoy a good walk but are equally enthusiastic about a sofa, we might be just what you're looking for.

Ring us. We're waiting

Lots of love,

Luna and Rocco
