Hi I'm Roxy.
I am currently in foster in the west midlands.
I had a difficult start to my fostering journey. It is best for me to be the only dog in the home.
I was 7.9kg when I came into foster and I am now 6.7kg. I lost it through walking and my foster mum has been helping me do chihuahua weight watchers. I do love my treats. Its been tough.
My foster mum says I am a lovely dog. I play tug with toys now and am spending more time with my foster pals. And the pesky cats, although they still annoy me at times.
Going for walks is great and I spend ages sniffing all the local news.
I can occasionally be reactive when food is around, so please ask my foster mum more about how to manage this. I do feel very protective with my treats. I just don't want to share. And why should I have to?
I am neutered, have a good, strong heart but sometimes I have small patches of flaky skin on my body. The vet person said this doesn't need treating unless it gets worse. My nails being clipped are the worst thing and the vet has to do this.
Please don't overlook me. I know I'm not pretty like some of the other Chihuahua's but I still deserve lots of love. I do find change scary initially, but I have proved I can be a loving, sweet, playful girl with the right love and patience.
Please give me a chance.
