About

Hello, I’m Doris.

I’m a 5-year-old short-coat Chihuahua (possibly Jack Russell x Chi) with a gentle, slightly shy nature and a lovely soft personality once I feel safe.

I’ve been in foster for a little while now and every day my confidence is growing. I can be nervous at first when I meet people, but I respond beautifully to praise and reassurance, and once I trust you, I’ll happily come to you for affection.

I’m very clean in the house with no accidents at all, and I sleep soundly overnight in my crate. I also like having access to it during the day as it’s my cosy little retreat for naps or dinner time.

I absolutely love food (especially chicken!) and may try to help myself to extra if the opportunity arises. I’m carrying a few extra pounds at the moment, but with gentle walks and measured meals, I’m already making great progress.

I walk extremely well and enjoy getting out and about. I can be a bit barky around unfamiliar dogs at first, but with calm handling I settle. I do enjoy chasing cats, though, so a cat-free home is best.

I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, and not due again until October 2026.

I can be adopted on my own, or with my friend Kevin if the right home wants to keep us together.
