Hello.
We’re Amber and Harley, a devoted little duo who are looking for a special home together.
We might be getting on in years, but don’t let that fool you. We’ve got plenty of love, character, and cuddles to share. We’re very bonded and do most things side by side, though we’ve got our own little quirks too.
I’m Amber, the black and tan girl and I'm 12 years old. I'm not grumpy but I like my own space now and then. I also love rolling over for a belly rub and having a good fuss.
I’m not too fond of being scooped up suddenly. Who is? I’ve got a small hernia which makes me a bit sensitive. If you let me know what’s coming, I don’t mind being lifted. I’ve also got a heart murmur and take Vetmedin, but it doesn’t stop me enjoying life. I do like a good run around on the grass to stretch my legs.
I’m Harley. I'm 10 years old and I'm a boy.
My most favourite things in life are warmth, cosiness, and cuddles. You’ll often find me buried under a blanket, snuggled in my donut bed, or tucked up close to my humans on the sofa. I adore being picked up for a cuddle too. You can scoop me up quickly if you like. Well not too quickly. Not like a fairground ride, but you know what I mean. I'm 100% here for the cuddling.
I’m a bit of a fair-weather walker and can be shy around bigger dogs, but once I feel safe I enjoy pottering about.
We both walk nicely on lead, and if we get the chance for a little off-lead run we’ll stay close by. I (Harley) sometimes fancy myself as the guard dog and will bark when the doorbell goes, but I soon settle down.
At night, you’ll find us happiest tucked up in bed with our humans, keeping cosy and close.
When it comes to food, I (Amber) am the keener eater and I’ll happily finish Harley’s if no one’s looking. Harley sometimes needs a gentle nudge to get started, but once he’s going, he enjoys his meals too.
We’d love somewhere with a garden where we can potter about, and we’d be happiest with humans who are around most of the time. We don’t like being left alone for long. We travel well too, especially in our carry bag.
Most importantly, we promise to fill your days with warmth, love, and loyalty. We’ve got the sweetest natures, gentle, loving, and never aggressive.
All we really want is a safe, cosy home where we can stay together and share all our love.
