Hi my name is Poppy,
I am a gorgeous tiger striped Chihuahua cross. I have only just come into rescue, but here's a little bit about me.
Due to my early experiences I am really nervous when I first meet people. I need patience and time initially. My new foster family have been really nice to me which is encouraging and I'm settling in well.
I am fine with other dogs, as long as they give me some space. I have been playing with them a bit in the garden. I haven't met the cats in the house yet, but I used to be ok with their kind from where I lived before.
I am going to the vets this week for a restart of my vaccinations and to have a general health check. I will need to be neutered. Hopefully everything else will be ok.
I love my belly rubs and I am a very loving little girl. I also love going for my walks, but I do walk fast. My foster mum struggles to keep up with me. It's funny to see her puffing along, but its getting her fit.
I am not reactive to other dogs or people out on a walk because its my happy place.
I am a beautiful girl. Don't overlook me cause of my whiskers. I could be your perfect partner and will give you lots of love in return.
