Hi, I’m Riley,
Life has taken me through a few homes already, but that just means I’ve learned a lot about what makes me feel safe and happy. I’m looking for a calm, patient home where I’ll be loved, understood and given time to shine.
I know exactly when it’s walkies time and I get so excited when the lead comes out. I adore being outdoors, especially with other dogs to sniff and explore alongside. Meeting people when I’m out and about is lovely too. I Like to soak up all the attention. Because I’m such a little chap, I stay on the lead to keep me safe. I also enjoy car rides and make a great little travel buddy.
Having Mexican heritage, sunbathing is definitely one of my favourite pastimes. I’ll happily stretch out and soak up the warmth whenever I can.
I enjoy my food twice a day, a mix of dry and wet food and I have quite a diverse palate for treats like carrot, cucumber and apple. I also like natural chewy treats that help keep my teeth clean. The vet says I’ll need a bit of a dental tidy up soon, so my smile can sparkle as much as my personality.
I absolutely love my humans. Lap time and tummy tickles are the best. I often follow my foster mum around, especially at food prep time, in case something tasty comes my way. I sometimes jump up to get noticed, but I’m learning gentler ways to ask for attention, because my foster family wants to keep my little legs safe.
I’m quite a chatty soul, my bark is high-pitched and sometimes surprises people, but I’m easily calmed with reassurance and patience. Even the TV can get me talking. My foster brothers just ignore me, which helps me learn too.
I sleep through the night like a star, usually burrowed under the covers. I’m nearly there with my house training, with regular trips outside, I’m improving all the time. My bedtime zoomies in the garden are a special routine before I settle down.
I’d love a home where life is calm and predictable, without young children, as I prefer not to be disturbed while I’m snoozing. I’d be perfect for someone who enjoys a little character by their side, a companion who’s affectionate, quirky, and always learning.
I wag my tail up and down instead of side to side.
I’m a very good boy who just needs love, reassurance, and a family that will celebrate me for who I am. In return, I promise to bring loyalty, laughs, and endless cuddles.
