About
Hello.
I’m Bramble, the black Pomchi. They think I'm around 9½ years old, but they can't be sure and I can't remember. That can happen when you get a bit older. Anyway, this is my very dear friend Bentley, although we all call him Benny, a gold Chihuahua estimated to be about 8½ years old. We’re a closely bonded pair of boys and are looking for a home together.
We’ve been in our foster home now for around six weeks and have really started to settle. I’m the more confident one and Benny takes a lot of reassurance from having me by his side. We’re happiest when we’re together and we look to each other a lot. He's only got to glance my way and I know exactly what he's thinking. We’re very much a package deal.
I’m the cuddlier of the two of us and I do absolutely adore snuggling up close to people. I’ll gently paw you when I’d like some affection so you can oblige. Benny is just as loving in his own way, but he prefers to just follow everyone from room to room, quietly keeping an eye on whatever’s going on.
We’re both house trained, although if the weather is bad we’re not overly keen to head outside. Just saying. As we’ve settled, we’ve both grown in confidence and become more playful, especially me, which our foster family say is lovely to see.
When it comes to walks, I enjoy heading out and exploring at my own pace, whereas Benny needs a bit more persuasion. He’s much happier pottering around the garden, which he'll do for ages, sniffing and taking everything in slowly. I think having me alongside him when we're out does help him feel a little braver.
We can both be noise reactive and will bark at people or dogs passing the house, as well as when we’re out and about. Because of this, we’d suit a quieter, calm, understanding home with people who are happy to help us feel safe and supported.
Health-wise, we’re being well looked after. Benny is booked in for a dental at the vets on the 16th January and I’m getting used to having my teeth brushed. I’m also on a special diet at the moment as I’m getting into shape for the summer. I’m doing well with that.
At night, we love sharing the bed with our people, but we will also settle in another room if needed. Just so you know, Benny is a very loud snorer, which our foster family finds extremely endearing.
We could live with another small friendly dog with the right introductions. Because we’re sensitive souls and can be easily startled, we’d be best suited to a home with older children only.
We’re affectionate, comical little characters, and foster mum says any family willing to offer us a calm, loving home will be very lucky to have us.
Get in touch soon if you think that could be you. We'd love to hear from you.
Love,
Bramble and Benny
