About
Hi, I’m Tiara.
I’m a grand dam at the age of 15 years and I’m looking for somewhere very special to spend my autumn years.
I’m a very sweet lady and I like to know where my person is, so you can expect me to follow you around to see what you’re up to. If there happens to be a free lap, even better – I’m very happy to occupy it.
I’m not particularly noisy, although I have perfected a little snort when I require your attention. I also have my own system for letting you know when I need to go to the toilet. I’ll give you a look and quietly leave the room. My fosterer says a certain amount of mind reading may be required! I have been known to give a little whine when you come home too, just in case you’ve forgotten me.
My sight isn’t so good these days and I’m nearly deaf, although a loud noise will get my attention. I tend to sniff my way around and I adapt to my surroundings fairly quickly. I don’t like being left in the dark unless I’m already asleep, so I’ll need you to be mindful of that.
I can live with other dogs, although I don’t tend to play with them. My fosterer thinks they sometimes move a little too quickly for me to see what they’re doing. I can also live with cats and children aged 10+.
Because my sight and hearing aren’t what they used to be, I can react if I feel startled or unsafe, so I’ll need someone with Chihuahua experience who understands me and knows when I need a little space.
I also have a luxating patella in my rear left leg and only need short walks these days.
I can be left for up to four hours and I’m currently fostered in Ardrossan, Scotland.
If you have a warm lap available and don’t mind learning to interpret the occasional meaningful look, perhaps you could be the special person I’m looking for.
Please get in touch soon.
Lots of love,
Tiara
