Hi, we’re Rocky and Gizmo.
We’re brothers, we’re nearly three years old and we’re looking for our new home together. We’re young, energetic boys with a lot of love to give and we need a very active household where we can continue enjoying the busy life we love.
If long walks, trips to the beach and adventures in the forest sound like your idea of a good day, we could be the boys for you. We have lots of energy, love to run and could seemingly walk forever. A good-sized garden where we can run laps would go down rather well too!
We’re very close and love playing, chasing each other and finding a sunny spot where we can relax together. We can both be a little jealous of each other at times, but we soon sort ourselves out. We’re anxious when we're apart, so we’re very much a package deal.
We do have our own personalities though.
Rocky – I’m a loving, affectionate boy who likes to know where my person is and will happily follow you around. I love cuddles, kisses and burrowing into small spaces or under blankets. If you're particularly attached to your beautifully arranged sofa cushions, you may need to lower your expectations – I consider pushing them all onto the floor part of my daily duties. I also enjoy chasing my tail and the occasional game of catch and retrieve.
When I’m out without Gizmo, I’m much more relaxed around other dogs and will greet and play with them.
Gizmo – I consider myself the boss of the house and I’m the noisier of the two of us. I like to make sure you're aware of any minor inconvenience, including the frankly outrageous rule that I'm not allowed to sit at the dinner table when food is being served. I love my food, will do pretty much anything for chicken, and when I'm not keeping everyone informed of my opinions, I'm an extremely loving boy who adores cuddles, kisses and getting cosy under a blanket.
I can be frightened by loud noises and unfamiliar objects when I’m out, so I need someone to be particularly careful with me around roads.
We’re both friendly and affectionate with people, including children, and we travel well in the car. We’re house trained and can initially be left for around two hours. We may be able to manage longer once we’re settled into our new home.
When we’re walked together, we can be reactive towards other dogs, so we’ll need someone prepared to continue our training and socialisation.
We can live with children aged 10+ and potentially with other dogs, but we can’t live with cats. You’ll need Chihuahua experience and, most importantly, the time and energy to give us the exercise, training and adventures we need.
We’re currently fostered in the DD5 postcode area of Scotland.
