Hello, I’m Coco.

I’m a seven year old long-haired Chihuahua. I take time to trust and get to know my people, but once I feel comfortable, I’m a very affectionate little girl. I enjoy a cuddle and being close to the people I know.

I have shown resource guarding behaviours around people I value and may snap if somebody tries to touch me while I’m with them. I’ll need someone with Chihuahua experience who understands resource guarding and can recognise and positively manage the situations where this may happen.

I’m house-trained and walk beautifully on my lead. I enjoy around 40–60 minutes of exercise, although if I get tired, I’ll let you know when I’d rather be picked up.

I love my little cuddly toys and enjoy playing with them. I sometimes grumble when toys are thrown for me, so my new person will need to take some time to get to know me and understand my communication. I also love my food and treats and don’t mind being brushed.

I’ve recently had a dental and had eight teeth removed, but I’m not on any medication.

I’m looking for an adult-only home, preferably with one person, and I’d be best suited to being the only dog. I can’t live with cats and can be left for around one to two hours.

My new person will need to come and meet me twice in the NR13 area of Norfolk. That will give us both the opportunity to start getting to know one another before I come home.

I’m looking for someone who will give me the time I need to trust, listen to what I’m telling them and understand the things I can find difficult. Once I feel comfortable, there’s a playful, affectionate little Coco who enjoys her walks, her toys and spending time with people she trusts.
