Hello, I'm Bobby.
I'm a happy chappy with a big smile and a very independent streak. I enjoy life's simple pleasures – a comfortable sofa, a wander around the garden, a tasty snack and spending time with my humans on my own terms.
I'm not one for drama and I certainly don't need mollycoddling. I'm perfectly happy pottering about, doing my garden inspections and keeping an eye on things before returning to my favourite spot for a well-earned snooze.
I'm a good sleeper and settle happily in my crate overnight. I also happen to be rather fond of food. In fact, I've worked hard to lose a significant amount of weight whilst in foster care and I'm feeling much better for it. My future family will need to help me maintain a healthy weight so I can continue enjoying life to the fullest. I still enjoy being active, although as an older gentleman I appreciate the occasional rest for my little legs.
I listen well and enjoy being part of the household, but I'm not the sort of dog who needs constant attention. I'm affectionate in my own way and enjoy sharing life with my people without being the centre of the universe.
Whilst I enjoy spending time with my canine friends, I would be happiest either as an only dog or living with a calm female companion. A puppy would not be my cup of tea.
What you see is very much what you get with me. I'm cheerful, easy-going, independent and always seem to have a smile on my face. Foster Mum calls me the happy chappy because I'm content simply getting on with life and enjoying each day as it comes.
